Germany may conclude agreements with Qatar for the supply of LNG

Qatar and Germany continue to discuss reduced natural gas supplies as Europe tries to reduce its dependence on energy from Russia. It is reported by Bloomberg.

“Negotiations are underway between Qatar Energy and commercial structures in Germany,” said Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahaman.

It is not yet clear when state-controlled Qatar Energy and the German companies will sign contracts, he said.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE this weekend to discuss gas and hydrogen supplies with the leaders of these countries.
