Popular service Apple began to mistakenly show people other people’s photos and videos

Due to a bug, the version of iCloud for Windows began to show users other people’s photos and videos

Users of the iCloud client for Windows began to complain about photos and videos taken by other people appearing on their profiles. This is reported by the publication MacRumors, referring to the comments of visitors to its site.

It is noted that a number of users found among their media files random photos and videos that they did not shoot. Among other things, people discover footage of other people’s children and families.

In addition, the Windows version of iCloud has begun corrupting users’ legitimate files. After downloading, black bars appear on photos and clips, making it impossible to view the content normally.

“iCloud for Windows ruined my videos recorded on iPhone 14 Pro Max. After loading, black bars and scan lines appeared on them. In some cases, I noticed in my clips footage from sources unknown to me, which, most likely, are files from other accounts. I saw photos of people I have never met in my life, football matches I have not attended, and other random pictures, ”wrote a user with the nickname Sleeping_Ghost.

In conclusion, he noted that he no longer trusts the Apple service.

MacRumors noted that, most likely, users’ problems arose as a result of an error on the Microsoft server side, since removing iCloud from computers does not have any effect. The publication also reported that failures are observed in iCloud clients for at least Windows 10 and Windows 11.
