Tesla shares collapsed after Elon Musk’s words about Crimea
Tesla shares, which have been falling in price since the start of trading today, fell 8.4% by Monday evening after the words of billionaire and company founder Elon Musk about Crimea.
Elon Musk proposes a formula for a political settlement of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He does not rule out that this whole terrible story could end in a nuclear war.
According to Musk, it is necessary to once again hold referendums under the auspices of the UN in the territories that Russia has illegally annexed. However, Elon proposes to leave Crimea to the Russians. At the same time, Ukraine will have to accept a neutral status.
After that, Tesla shares fell 8.4% in New York trading. Prior to this, Tesla shares fell 6.5% on the NASDAQ premarket, but the decline slowed to 4.62% during the day. And by the evening, after the publication of Musk on Twitter, the drop increased.
President Zelensky quickly reacted to Musk’s words, and created a poll on his Twitter asking “Which Elon is more liked by the Twitter audience.”
