Tesla shares fall amid quarterly sales report
Electric vehicle maker Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) was down 6.5% to $248 in NASDAQ premarket trading on Monday, Oct. 3. As of this writing, the decline has slowed to 4.62%.
Quotes began to decline against the background of the publication of a quarterly report on deliveries. According to the results of the third quarter of 2022, Tesla delivered a record 343,830 vehicles worldwide, but experts predicted an increase in sales to 358 thousand units.
The volume of production was 365,000 units. For comparison, in July-September 2021, Tesla deliveries reached 241,300 electric vehicles with a production of 237,823 units.
Quarterly shipment volume is one of the key metrics that Tesla investors keep an eye on. The company will publish a full report for the period after the market close on 19 October.
