The Hong Kong exchange suspended operations on Wednesday due to a warning of an approaching typhoon.
“Trading in securities, including through the exchange interconnection program, as well as in the derivatives market, is suspended,” Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd said in a statement. (HKEx).
There will also be no additional trading on Wednesday, HKEx noted.
The country’s authorities announced a storm warning signal of the eighth level on a 10-point scale.
